Honda Models with the 90 OHC Engine

The Honda 90 Over Head Cam (OHC) engine was introduced in 1964.  Variations of this engine was used on the models listed below.

The Honda 90 engine looks similar to the Honda 70 but is physically large in all directions and doesn't have any interchangeable parts with the 70.

 

Honda S90 1964-1969

89cc   Bore 50mm x Stroke 45.6mm
4-Speed, Manual clutch.
Tire size: Both 18x2.5
Three bolt engine mount.

Nick named the Super 90 in the US.  In other countries it is called a Benly 90 or CS90.  The tall narrow tires, light weight, gearing, and 8hp makes the S90 the fastest of all the Honda 90's

 

Honda CT90 1966-1979

Two bolt engine mount.

Honda CM91 1966-1969
(also called C90 or C90M or 90)

89cc   Bore 50mm x Stroke 45.6mm
3-Speed, auto clutch, kick start.
Tire size: Both 17x2.5

 

Honda CL90 1967-1969
Honda CL90L 1968-1970

89cc   Bore 50mm x Stroke 45.6mm
4-Speed, Manual clutch.
Tire size: rear 18x2.75, front 18x2.5
Three bolt engine mount.

Very similar to the S90

 

Honda SL90 1969 only

Tire size: rear 17x3.25, front 19x2.75

Honda CD90 (1965?-1971?)
Not a US model
(C201) Sold in Canada, Japan and maybe the UK.
Basically it is a C200 with the OHC engine.  It also came with a solo seat and a stamped metal rack like the S90.

4-Speed with dual range, auto clutch and pull start
Two bolt engine mount.

 

Honda ATC110 1979-1985

Compression Ratio 8.2:1, 156-198psi, Carburetor 16mm Keihin

4-Speed with dual range, auto clutch, pull start,
1981-8512v & CDI
Two bolt engine mount.

 

  Engine re-design: New Cylinder Head, flywheel, etc.

Honda CT110 1980-1986
As of 2003 this model is still being sold in Australia, nick named "Postie Bike" because in Australia it was used to deliver there mail.

Honda ATC125M 1984-1985

4-Speed with dual range, auto clutch, electric/pull start, CDI
Two bolt engine mount.

 

Honda TRX125 1985-1986
